Teacher Appreciation Week - May 7-11

Teacher Appreciation week is coming up (May 7-11) and we are looking forward to thanking our teachers and staff for their amazing work at IPES.  But, to do this, we need your help!

First, we will be providing meals for the teachers throughout the week (lunch on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and breakfast on Tuesday).  We are looking for food and paper good donations as well as a few people to help set up/clean up each day.  If you would like to help, you can sign up here: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a48a5ac2aa4fd0-teacher

Second, we are going to decorate the school with our "Fiesta" theme for the week. We'll be working on this Sunday, May 6 (time TBA).  If you'd like to help decorate, please email us pta.ipes@gmail.com and we'll get you the details.

2018-2019 Officers and Committees

At our May PTA meeting (Thursday, May 3, 6:00 pm) we will be electing our 2018-2019 PTA officers and selecting committee chairs.  If you are interested in one of these positions, please contact the PTA before the May meeting (leannkaiser@hotmail.com).  Brief descriptions of the duties for each office and committee are below, but please reach out if you have questions or would like additional information.

Officers (elected)

• President: Creates meeting agendas, runs monthly meetings
• Vice President:  Runs monthly meeting if president is unable to attend, serves as communication director (emails, facebook posts, blog updates)
• Secretary: Takes and sends out monthly meeting minutes, makes sure state PTA documents are up to date
• Treasurer:  Maintains yearly budget, reports on expenses/income each month, maintains PTA checking account

Committees (volunteers)

• Membership:  Collects membership forms and dues, sends monthly membership report to state PTA
• Rocky Mountain Gourmet:  Helps coordinate the "pie fundraiser" in the fall
• Read-a-Thon:  Helps coordinate the Read-A-Thon fundraiser in the spring
• Apparel Sales: Coordinates once or twice yearly sales
• Box Tops:  Help to coordinate the yearly box top drive
