Grant award highlight
The PTA helped to fund new ukuleles for the music program! Thank you to everyone who helps to make these things possible!

Dear Indian Paintbrush PTA,
Thank you so much for helping our music program grow by purchasing Ukeleles! So far the 5th grade has been learning how to finger chords, strum, and play songs and they having so much fun! I look forward to using them in the other grades soon and possibly using them in a performance.
Your generosity has allowed us to experience a new instrument and expand our musical experiences.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Lyford, IPES Music Teacher

Fundraising
PTA is sponsoring 2 fundraising opportunities in March. This week students were sent home with Read-a Thon materials. This is a great, fun way to encourage reading and to raise some funds at the same time. Please help students set up their accounts and start taking pledges! In conjunction, each day this week IPES students will be able to participate in some fun activities to celebrate reading and Dr. Seuess' birthday.
Monday- I Can Read with my Eyes Shut- Wear a shirt we can read!
Tuesday- Fox in Sox- Wear crazy socks!
Wednesday- Wacky Wednesday- Wear wacky, mismatched clothes!
Thursday- What Pet Should I Get?- Bring a small stuffed animal to school!
The second fundraising opportunity is going to take place all month long. PTA is having a Box Top drive. Please send in neatly clipped box tops. It's helpful if expiration dates are checked and the box tops are in groups of 50.
Both of the fundraisers are such great ways to provide our staff and students funds to further their educational goals and experiences! Thank you for your participation!

Grant Highlight
Here's another activity all our fundraising efforts have helped to make possible! Thank you for all your efforts!
2nd grade went on a field trip to The Terry Bison Ranch to give students a first hand experience seeing bison, which they have been learning about in their reading curriculum. They got to see these magnificent animals on a narrated train tour.
Quote from Donovan Foley:
"I got to feed a bison! I've never done that before!"
Thank you for your support in making this field trip possible.
