Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week May 3-7, 2021

I appreciate the dedicated professionals at IPES every year, but I am so immensely grateful for the extra time, care and concern they have put in to keep our kids safe and healthy and in school!!  We really want to thank them this year!  Due to our successful Read-A-Thon, we have funds to cover the cost of purchasing treats throughout the week.  However if your family would still like to donate to this cause, you are welcome to donate via PayPal.  Specific directions are below.

We also really want to encourage you and your children to write thank you notes to the teachers and staff who have specifically impacted your child this year.  We all know how much a handwritten note means, and love the idea of showing our kids how easy it is to write a simple thank you note!  The PTA is so grateful for the committed support of the IPES family, and thank you for partnering with us to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate their hard work!!

PayPal Directions:

1. Login to your PayPal account, click the Send button. 

2. Type in pta.ipes@gmail.com in the Send Money field and click Next. 

3. Enter the amount you would like to donate in the amount field and click Continue. 

4. Be sure to select “Sending to a friend” and then select your payment method. If you pay with a debit card or checking account, there is no fee. If you pay with a credit card, there is a $0.59 fee. 

5. Once you select your payment option, verify the information is correct and then click "Send Payment Now."

2020/2021 Registration NOW OPEN!

Hello Parents,

I have asked the PTA to post this today in the hopes if helping everyone complete registration for school.  Emails will also be going out today, but if that information is not up to date, I'm not quite sure where it goes.  Please reach out to your neighbors and fellow IPES parents to let them know.  

Today, the access to update your child's registration went live.  You can access the link using the information below.

On the Albany County School District #1 website (https://www.acsd1.org/acsd/), hover over the Resources tab, and from the drop-down menu, select Parent Resources. Under the Online Student Management menu, click on PowerSchool for Parents (its the blue icon with the capital letter P in the middle).  Please DO NOT click on the "ACSD Online Registration" Link.  If you have not set-up PowerSchool yet, please check your emails for a letter from Mrs. Nutter.

Please read through all of the attachments and information.  Let me take a minute to cover the importance of completing this process.

First of all, we are only as good as our information.  With your help, we can keep our information updated so that in any situation, we are able to make contact with you.  We want to always feel comfortable in knowing we are up to date.  PowerSchool is a great platform that will help you keep up to date through its web design or phone apps.  They do a great job of keeping you updated as well!

The registration process will have you read and approve many different aspects of school life, including expectations for students to return this year.  Please go through all of these carefully and complete.

The classroom teachers will be using this updated information on this Friday to contact you to let you know classroom assignments.  We will not be posting these on the school doors as in year's past.  Your updated information will help you have more information by 1:00 this coming Friday afternoon.

Parent / Teacher conference meals
