PTA Read-a-Thon

The PTA is excited to announce our Read-a-Thon Fundraiser! This should be a fun and easy way for students and families to support Indian Paintbrush Elementary.

Here’s How it Will Work

The Read-a-Thon will last for two weeks (February 22-March 8). Each student will track their reading online and will be able to solicit their family and friends for online donations.  Students can choose their own prizes from the website, based on how much money they earn.  As well, the top readers at the school will be recognized and everyone who activates their webpage will get a prize. 75% of the money earned goes directly to our school, 15% covers prizes, 7% goes to the Read-a-Thon organization, and 3% covers transaction costs.  Our goal is to raise $3000.  We look forward to your participation as we raise money and encourage our kids to read!

How To Get Started

Each student will bring home an information packet about the Read-a-Thon.  The packet will give details about how to create your student’s online account to track reading and solicit donations. You will be able to access the account from a computer or mobile device. If a student does not have internet access at home, they will be able to activate and access their account at school. If you have questions about the fundraiser, please contact Sara Pommarane at spommarane@acsd1.org or 307-721-4490.

Why Are We Doing Another Fundraiser?

The PTA strives every year to help with school expenses such as class field trips, Teton Science School, purchasing additional classroom materials (bare books, art supplies), and supporting school activities (Valentine’s Day treats, Field Day, Family Night).  With rising costs and rising enrollment at our school, we have found that we need more fundraisers to allow us to continue to help with these expenses.

Where Can I Find Out More?

Thank you for helping the PTA make IPES a great school for our kids, teachers, and staff!
